- Here x0,x1, and x2 can be viewed as consecutive frames
and P is the predictor. As you can see, we use the
quantizer from the previous iteration to generate a new
set of residuals in this iteration. Note that if a
residual is not well quantized, then it will lead to
accumulation of errors because of the closed-loop.
